Founder and Executive Director

Khristal founded the Devised Theatre Project in 2017, with the goal of providing free high quality theatre programming to underserved communities in NYC. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities with an Applied Focus from the NYU Steinhardt School, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Actors Training Program at the University of Utah. She has extensive experience in theatre-based curricula design, development, and implementation as well as devising and directing theatre with a wide variety of communities. 


Past experience includes work with incarcerated young people as a founding Deputy Director for Drama Club, from 2014-2016; Theatre Facilitator for Rehabilitation through the Arts at Woodbourne and Sing Sing Correctional Facilities, Theatre Specialist at the YMCA, and Teaching Artist at Lafayette Academy Alternate Learning Center, a NYC suspension center in Bronx, NY. 


Teaching Artist and Volunteer

Ashley Bryant is thrilled to be a part of the Devised Theatre Project. She is a professional actor working in theater, television, and film. As an instructor Ashley has worked with Youth Theatre at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT and Spellbound Theatre in Brooklyn, NY. She also owns and operates Paper Moon, a children's playgroup in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Actors Training Program at the University of Utah and a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama. 

Devised Theatre Project is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.

Contributions for the charitable purposes of Devised Theatre Project must be made payable to "Fractured Atlas" only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
